Scholastica Debating Society 1st Quarter accomplishments 2021

The World School Debating Championship (WSDC) Format:  As the members got introduced to the basics of debating, one of the most prevalent  format of debating in school level national and international tournaments, ‘ The World School Debating Championship’ (WDSC) format was thoroughly explained to them. Furthermore, the tactics of arguementation and rebuttals were also discussed.

Intra club debating spars and assignments:  Intra club debating spars were organized as a part of the extensive selection rounds which were hosted before major tournaments. Members were also given assignments by the leaders in order to test their understanding on specific motions. Top ranking members and leaders were selected by the end, to represent the school as the team in the debating tournments.

Debating Tournaments: Our newly admitted members and leaders had participated in a handful of inter-school and national debating tournaments this quarter which included- The DSDC Coherence 2021, the BDC Fempowerment 2021, the 18th BDC PreWorlds 2021 and performed considerably well.
