Summary of 2nd Quarter 2021

  Preparation time strategy and rebuttal strategy:

As the members got well acquainted with the basics of debating throughout the 1st quarter, the 2nd quarter commenced with the lessons of preparation time strategies being taught to them. Furthermore, members were also taught the advanced strategies of rebuttals as to which crucial arguments from the opponents should be attacked on at the very primary stage of the debate. Besides, members did practice spars on motions ranging from minorities to environmental degradation.

Teacher’s Day 2021: We celebrated teachers’ day by appreciating the valuable contributions of all the respected teachers throughout the sessions and that, of our honorable debating coach.

SDS Intra club debating spar competition 2021: The 2nd Quarter ended as an intra club spar competition had been hosted by the club leaders in order to provide the members a platform to enhance and evaluate their debating skills. We congratulate our winning and runner up teams!
