Amnesty International Club- 2022/23 Leadership Profile

Anusha Jahin Hoque- President

After a successful inaugural year, Scholastica Amnesty International Club hopes to come back bigger, bolder and better for the Session of 2022-2023. Certainly, the pandemic has improvised the scenario of all club sessions, thus, AIHRC wishes to make a smooth transition into the physical environment and make Human Rights accessible to all in our community.

Mahdi Sadman- Vice President

Hello everyone! It is my pleasure to be the Vice-president of our Scholastica’s one of the most highly regarded clubs, Amnesty International Human Rights Club. I have been part of the founding EB members of the club and it was an incredible experience to be part of such a team that built up The Amnesty International club from scratch. It is a collective interest of the EB members to fully utilize the advantage of physical sessions and make it as interactive as possible. Hopefully we will have a wonderful upcoming session,  really looking forward to it.

Amnesty International Human Rights Club is a platform for youth, by youth, where like-minded people come together to learn, mobilise and act on human rights issues. It’s the perfect amalgamation of education, entertainment and activism!

Anahita Alam- Strategist

Hi, everyone! I am Anahita, this year’s strategist for the Amnesty International Human Rights Club. As a member of this club previously, I’ve been a part of the numerous socially awakening events it has successfully hosted. As the strategist, I wish to put in the same efforts, if not more, to bring equal light to pressing matters that require our utmost attention and undaunted support, and work towards changing things for the better!

Mashiat Tarannum- Treasurer

Amnesty International is all about helping
people and making sure everyone earns their
designated rights. Hence I expect to learn
more about human rights and how to make sure
no one is deprived of their rights. I also
hope to learn more about leadership and
teamwork. And lastly I hope to have a
wholesome and fulfilling session with my
fellow EB members and all the club members.
