Samit Shaharaj | President

After years of detour, leading and learning from leading several other clubs, projects and organizations – both inside and outside school – it is finally time that I took the helm as the President of the club that is dedicated to the dearest of all my passions – Music. Combined with my years of leadership exposure, vast musical intimacy, and the support of unarguably the most fresh and ambitious Executive Board that the Music Club has seen in a very long while, I can assure you that it is only inevitable that something revolutionary is about to happen for the oldest club of Scholastica that will change its fate for the good, forever.

Rumaisa Quayum | Vice President

I have been involved with the school’s musical programs for over 7 years now, and it is my utmost delight to be serving as a part of the EB board this year. From my experience of performing and organizing musical events, both in and out of school, I have obtained valuable lessons which I will be delighted to share with my music loving peers. Eager to share my expertise with the whole of the club. Here’s to embarking on a musical year!

Afrida Nusaiba Masir | Secretary

I have always been passionate about music and getting the opportunity to serve as the secretary of the music club this year is truly an honor. Hence, I will not let this opportunity slide and promise to contribute wholeheartedly in making this session the most happening and successful. As the secretary of the music club this year, I will try my best to help our fellow club members, other music club executive board members and also the SLLC board members to constantly stay updated and connected through effective communication on my side. Alongside our other executive board members, I also plan on leading the club with my leadership skills and determination to help our club members bring out the best in themselves and make this session engaging and enjoyable.

Farishta Firoze | Strategist

Music has been a part of my life since I can remember with learning to play 3 instruments and constantly going through vocal lessons each and every day. Having to balance long school hours with performance time and practice taught me a lot about responsibility, time management, and, most importantly, professionalism. This love for music has shown me to respect the bigger picture, fellow bandmate-ship and being able to emotionally connect and relate to music itself. It is simple for me to communicate, whether my ideas are bold or even impossible. Music clubs are supposed to be a place for students to unwind and play their hearts out, and being a part of such a talented group of future performers would make me feel proud.

Treasurer | Mushfiq Mashiat

At a very young age I was introduced to the chapter of Music .From vocal practice sessions to learning instruments I believe to have developed skills  in various fields. Alongside being a consistent performer in most of the school programs for the last 8 years has loaded me up with a lot of management and leadership skills. Hence, I grab this opportunity as an EB member of the music club this year  to unite all the music lovers  & enthusiasts and build up the strongest sustaining community.

I believe in helping our members to open up and bring out the best in themselves!!

Raima Kabir | Technologist

Surprise is the greatest gift that life can grant us and coming on board with the Music Club was ecstatic. I never expected to be in a place like this before until I was told that I got the position one fine morning. Although we haven’t started the session yet, being a technologist taught me the true art of leadership hidden in me all along, and it granted me a newfound love for music. I realized how comforting rock songs and strumming the strings of a guitar are, that is why this year along with my fellow EBs I plan to reveal the concealed passion and talent for music in our students. Here is to teen spirit and creating memories!
